Christmas time is filled with so many ways to enjoy some holiday cheer. So many activities and parties to attend.

Almost all of it includes eating! This time of year calls for an easy treat that takes little time to make and can be taken to any event!

Christmas Lights in the Snow is a delicious and festive version of Chex Mix to satisfy everyone, at any event!

Christmas Lights in the Snow!

 

Ingredients:

1 cup Christmas M&Ms – the peanut or almond M&Ms make a great light bulb shape!

2 tbsp Holiday Candy Sprinkles

2 1/2 cups Vanilla Baking Chips

8 cups Rice or Corn Chex Cereal

1 cup Pretzels

1 1/2 cups Vanilla Wafer Cookies, mini sized

Directions:

Line 2 baking sheets with wax paper.

Add cereal to a large mixing bowl.

In medium bowl, melt 2 cups of baking chips in the microwave. This should take a total of 45 to 60 seconds. Be sure to stir every 20 seconds and warm until smooth.

Pour the melted chips into the bowl with the cereal. Mix together to coat all the coated.

Pour mixture onto one baking sheet and top with sprinkles.

In the second baking sheet, create a single layer of wafers and pretzels.

Microwave the remaining 1/2 cup of chips with previous melting directions.

Transfer into ziploc bag and snip off the bottom corner.

Drizzle over the pretzel and cookie mix.

Let both pans cool for about 20 to 30 minutes.

Break both mixtures into bite size pieces and transfer to large bowl.

Mix together with M&M candies until thoroughly distributed.

 

To store:

Use an air tight storage container to keep the mix crisp!
