We know with the world being a little crazy right now, that most of our yearly traditions are hard to make happen. We have noticed many fireworks shows and celebrations being cancelled or changed from previous years. So for the 4th of July, we went ahead and did the research to bring you information on the local shows and celebrations! Here is a list of options for you, our neighbors! Each one has a link to more information on the event to help your family make a great decision about your holiday!

Southlake – Southlake Firework show will take place Friday evening, the 3rd @ 9:30. They are offering it as a live Facebook broadcast if you prefer to watch from home. However, they will be setting them off from Southlake’s Bicentennial Park. The park will be closed to guests but viewers could park nearby for an in person experience!

Fort Worth – Fort Worth will be holding its annual fireworks show from Panther Island. This year, it will be the fireworks only and no festival. The Island itself is closed to public access. Those who wish to view the show must observe from nearby spots. The show is scheduled for 9:20. Tune into 95.9 FM the Ranch to listen to the music choreographed to the fireworks show.

Plano – The City of Plano is happy to announce a fireworks display for the July 4th Independence Day holiday. The fireworks will launch from the Lavon Farms near the Plano Event Center. This year, they will be set off at 500 to 600 feet. That should allow them to be seen from farther away. There will be ample viewing options. As always, the display will be set to music on radio station KLAK 97.5.

Azle – Azle Ministerial Alliance presents ’Follow the Flag’ July 4th celebration from 8 – 10 pm at Azle Central Park (263 W. Main St). Enjoy live musical entertainment before the fireworks and a professional fireworks display will top the night off at around 9:15 pm. This is a free event, with music, fun and fireworks.

Everyone is encouraged to practice social distancing, stay at least six feet apart from other families, masks are encouraged, and use hand sanitizer.
