With this week, we ring in the first week of fall! It hasn’t quite cooled down yet here in Texas but with the Halloween costumes popping up in stores and Starbucks rolling out those seasonal sips, you can’t help but start getting in the fall mood! We know while it is warm, that can be tough. So we want to share with you the fall bucket list we created to help make it an enjoyable season, no matter the temperature! Hopefully you pick a few for your family to help with getting in the fall time spirits!

Visit a local fall festival

Make a squash based dish (We suggest the Pumpkin Chili from our facebook page!)

Attend a Friday night football game

Light a candle in your favorite fall scent

Watch a cheesy Hallmark fall movie while sipping apple cider or pumpkin spice latte

Take a cool morning walk

Brave a haunted house

Donate to a local food bank

Watch Hocus Pocus

Decorate your front door stoop

Make caramel apples

Host a chili cook off

Plan a Halloween party

Plan your pumpkin patch visit – hayrides, corn mazes, photo ops!

Go costume shopping

Go on at least 3 hikes – one now, one in the middle of fall, and one just as it turns colder – compare the trees between the hikes

Build a scarecrow

Plan your trick or treat route

Create a gratitude jar

Brainstorm Thanksgiving recipes to try out this year

Watch It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown

Listen to Monster Mash while doing house work

Visit a farmer’s market

Family Harry Potter marathon

We hope that even though Texas hasn’t gotten the cool down memo yet, we have provided you with some great inspiration for setting the fall mood with your family. We love to hear from you. If you have any fall activity favorites to add to the list, let us know!
